Chip Carved Ornaments or Coasters

Using traditional chip carving with small knives, students will carve attractive, intricate patterns into 4″ basswood discs, stars or squares that can be used as both ornaments and coasters. Students will receive a basswood board with practice designs and then may use the same designs to carve into their projects. Decorate your own tree or give as a holiday gift! Chip carving knives will be provided. Chip carving or other carving experience is helpful.
