Basic Blacksmithing Tool Set- August 2026
Price range: $480.00 through $540.00If you've started your blacksmithing journey or may be about to, you need a few basic tools to make forging a little easier. In this class you'll forge a pair of flat jaw tongs, a pair of simple shop calipers and a set of dividers. You'll also learn how to harden and temper tool steel while forging a center punch, cold chisel, and hot chisel.

Blacksmithing 117: Forge Welding Basics, Fire Poker & Chain Links- October 2026
Price range: $160.00 through $180.00Forge welding is often seen as a difficult, even mystical process. This course is designed for students who have completed a basic class or who have equivalent experience. We will demystify and cover the basics of forge-welding, learn to forge weld a loop on a bar, then will move on to forging a short length of chain. ABANA

Complete Basic Blacksmithing- October 2026
Price range: $640.00 through $740.00This basic class will give you the foundation needed to start out on your journey of blacksmithing. You'll learn fire management, hammering methods, drawing out, upsetting, cutting, splitting, twisting, and convenience bending along with a demo of forge welding. Make punches and chisels and learn to harden and temper them. Heating material and heat management will be taught and much more.

EDC Knife- October 2026
Price range: $180.00 through $200.00In this one-day course, students will learn the fundamentals of forging high carbon steel blades, the metallurgical processes of hardening the material, and grinding/sharpening the knife. The knife will be finished with a cord wrapped handle.

Handforged Cooking Utensils- August 2026
Price range: $320.00 through $360.00Come learn fundamental forging techniques while making functional cooking utensils great for the BBQ or kitchen. In this beginner workshop we will explore both one piece forgings as well as two piece riveted construction. You will learn simple hand forging techniques at the anvil and food safe metal finishes.

Handforged Skillet- October 2026
Price range: $320.00 through $360.00In this 2 day workshop, students will learn basic sheet metal forging and riveted construction. Starting with a steel disk, learn to shape a simple skillet body and forge a decorative riveted handle. Create a functional and decorative piece of cookware to last a lifetime!

Intro to the Japanese Blade- October 2026
Price range: $800.00 through $900.00Taught by renowned instructor and winner of the History Channel's Forged in Fire, Mace Vitale. In this 5 day intensive, students will be free to explore the processes of forging, grinding, heat treat (using clay), and polishing of blades to bring out the unique hardening lines (Hamon) prevalent in this style. Students will be free to create and dive right into making blades at their own pace. This is an advanced class; students should have experience forging.

Viking Knife- September 2026
Price range: $160.00 through $180.00In this hands-on class, students will forge their own small Viking-style knife from mild steel. The Viking Knife, often referred to as a blacksmith knife, is a nod to the practical blades once crafted for everyday use.
