Groups

The Adirondack Folk School loves groups! Whether you are a civic or professional group, lake association, camp, area non-profit or family group the Adirondack Folk School would be happy to design a program specifically for you. If your group wants to know more about the arts, craft, and culture of the Adirondacks or just more about the school, our instructors, and what we do, AFS would be happy to come and talk to you. We are available for presentations, craft demonstrations, slide shows, trade-show exhibits, and more.

If you are an organization looking for hands-on and creative team-building opportunities for your management or employees, or a school teacher looking for arts and enrichment for your students (AFS is now a Capital Region BOCES Arts-in-Education Presenter). Over the years, we have worked with area schools and colleges, as well as other non-profits and businesses, to provide specialized programming. Most of our classes can be offered specifically for your group; from basketry to blacksmithing, weaving to rustic furniture building to woodcarving, AFS has hundreds of classes taught by talented local artisan instructors to offer to your group. We also develop programs for family reunions and groups of friends looking to do something unique to celebrate a birthday, upcoming wedding, or anniversary – well, just name your occasion and we can create a fun, creative hands-on activity!

Come celebrate the simpler joys of using your hands and exploring your creative side, while learning about and helping preserve the rich cultural treasure that is the Adirondacks!

Call AFS at 518-696-2400 or email us at info@adirondackfolkschool.org if you would like to invite us to speak with your group or develop a program tailored to your needs.
