Martin Macica

Martin Macica has been making fine stringed instruments for over 30 years. He owns and runs The Macica Workshop in Schuylerville, New York where he makes and repairs stringed instruments as well as teaching classes in instrument building and woodworking. He enjoys sharing his knowledge of the principles and practice of instrument making, leading participants through the process of making their own stringed instrument from scratch using hand tools. His love and passion for woodworking and his art really shines through in his classes. Martin’s instruments can be seen in various orchestras and in the hands of various musicians throughout the United States.
