Matt Liddle

Matt is a visual artist whose work centers around the art of the book, and includes papermaking, printmaking, bookbinding and related crafts. He has been involved with the book arts for over 45 years. Matt is a retired Professor Emeritus from the School of Art and Design at Western Carolina University, where he was the coordinator of the Printmaking and Book Arts studios and taught graduate and undergraduate courses in printmaking, book arts and graphic design. He currently serves as one of the Co-directors of the Paper and Book Intensive, an international working retreat for papermakers, printmakers, bookbinders, conservators, artists and other book enthusiasts.
