Balsam Fir Pillow Trees- November 2026
Price range: $150.00 through $175.00In this class we'll be stitching aromatic balsam pillows in the shape of evergreen trees. Using balsam fir needles, plaids, and glass beads, we'll create three different pillows inspired by the raised beadwork of the Tuscarora people and the rich history of balsam fir use in the Adirondacks. These are great for use in a dresser, car, or anywhere would enjoy the fragrance! Pillows are approximately 5" in height. No prior experience or sewing machine required.

Price range: $150.00 through $175.00In this class, originally developed by artists Susie and Betsy Brandt, we'll be hand stitching Valentine themed aromatic balsam pillows with a fun, modern twist. Using balsam fir needles, velveteen fabric, glass beads, and sequins, we'll create three different pillows inspired by the raised beadwork of the Tuscarora people and the rich history of balsam fir use in the Adirondacks. Beginning Crochet – Make a Dishcloth- July 2026
Price range: $80.00 through $95.00Learning to crochet is a snap! Don't feel intimidated by the lovely creations that you see. You can learn to make them, too. Patricia will help you learn several different stitches as you make something beautiful for your home or a gift. Ages 8 and up. Beginning Knitting – Make Coasters- August 2026

Our instructor will help you through the process of learning the two basic kinds of stitches as you make at least one lovely coaster. If time permits you may make all three!! Ages 8 to adult. Beginning Spinning- November 2026
Price range: $135.00 through $160.00Spinning, the ancient art of twisting fibers to make yarn or thread, still thrives today, and this workshop will show you how to bring its magic into your own creative practice. In this workshop, you will learn how to spin wool using spindles and a spinning wheel and hear stories and folklore about spinning while you practice. You will learn the basics of spinning, how to work with the properties of wool, and how to ply and finish the yarn you have spun. No experience is necessary.

Block Printing with Natural Dyes- February 2026
Price range: $95.00 through $110.00Learn how to print and paint with locally-foraged natural dyes to create beautiful, useable items! Participants will learn how to prepare thickened dye pastes, print or paint them on cotton and set them for long-lasting, washable results, with a discussion of growing or foraging their own dye plants in the local region and preparing cloth for dyeing. Participants can select a cotton tea towel or cotton scarf. Historic-style wooden blocks will be provided, or students can bring their own stencils or designs to paint.

Cloth Napkins- August 2026
