Description
Creating this container requires sewing each of two cylinders of birch bark together, using two different techniques. The two cylinders are joined by sewing a rim of spruce roots, as well as sewing on a base of 3 layers. Students will also learn harvesting and preparation of spruce roots, and incorporate a design with porcupine quills on the outside wall, if desired.
