Janet's woven items often start with unique one-of-a-kind hand spun yarns. Spend an evening and see how she starts with wool from a variety of sheep and adds some bamboo or sparkle to create a blend of fiber to spin into thick or thin single ply yarn. After spinning again, a simple yarn is created, or texture and coils can be added to create an "art yarn" that looks wonderful when used to weave or knit.

Dye a rainbow with all-natural plant material! This workshop is a great intro to natural dyeing and participants will create a wearable rainbow with the colors of the Adirondacks. Children 8 sand up can participate with a parent, or 15 and up with parent permission.

During this evening program, Diane will talk a little about wildlife rehabilitation and share some interesting facts about helping our native wildlife. She will also bring along four Non-Releasable Ambassadors: three different owl species + a Red Tailed Hawk. All of which are indigenous to the Adirondacks. We will discuss their stories & you will gain some very interesting facts about these amazing birds, that we are so lucky to have in our own backyards.
