Scroll Saw Christmas Ornaments- November 2026
$130.00 – $155.00Price range: $130.00 through $155.00There's nothing like the beauty of the winter season in the Adirondacks! Make a holiday ornament for yourself or your loved ones. Over the course of this day students will progress from making a simple wooden Christmas ornament to one requiring the skills you will have achieved during the day. The course will include instruction on the safe use of the power scroll saw, pattern transfer, the cutting of multiple ornaments using the stacking process and the process of making interior cuts in a piece of wood using a scroll saw. Appropriate for beginning woodworkers and those with some experience.

Scroll Saw Puzzle Making- May 2026
$130.00 – $155.00Price range: $130.00 through $155.00Wooden puzzles are a great project whether you are a beginner or experienced woodworker. In this class students will learn the basics of the safe operation of a scroll saw, proper blade selection and installation, pattern transfer, proper cutting techniques and proper body positioning at the saw table. Each student will progress from learning to make moderate curves to tight curves using the scroll saw by producing, first, a wood maple leaf and progressing through more difficult patterns to a final puzzle which will require attention to detail and care in cutting. Come learn the secret tricks to ensure your puzzle is a success. It can make the perfect gift, too.

Side Table- November 2026
$340.00 – $390.00Price range: $340.00 through $390.00This class will cover both woodworking and welding skills. Live edge slab tops will be cut and sanded. Students will then have the choice of welding their metal tube base together, or having Larry do it with student guidance on how they want it to look. The top will be added to the newly welded base to finish this truly unique side table.

Timber Framing- September 2025
$900.00 – $1,000.00Price range: $900.00 through $1,000.00Spend five unforgettable days learning the art of traditional timber framing – while building a woodshed of small cabin alongside a group of like-minded learners. This is a hands-on, team-based experience where you’ll learn the skills to take on your own timber frame project with confidence. Using the square rule method – a traditional method developed in the early 1800s – you’ll be guided through each step of cutting, fitting, and assembling a timber frame structure, from mortise and tenon joinery to raising the finished frame. This is a group class, designed to create a collaborative learning environment while still giving you plenty of direct guidance from the instructor, Nick, a seasoned timber framer and builder. Expect demos, instructing, and lots of hands-on time with tools. This course focuses on traditional timber framing techniques using only hand tools and human power. Whether you’re dreaming of a backyard shed, tiny cabin, or just want to understand how old-school builders worked with big timbers and simple tools – this course gives you a solid foundation.

Walnut Frame Mirror- May 2026

After inserting a mirror, they will cut the live edge pieces to fit inside, and finally, they will put it all together to complete a piece that is sure to be a conversation starter.

Students can bring their wooden chairs of almost any type and with some guidance, bring them back to new life. Chairs will be completely disassembled, cleaned of any old glue and reglued. Students should bring a wooden chair without upholstery that is loose or partially loose.
