Upcycle with Embroidery- June 2026
Price range: $80.00 through $95.00The goal of this course is to apply our basic embroidery skills to embellish a recycled piece of apparel. Upcycling with Lino Prints- August 2026

Viking Knife- September 2026
Price range: $160.00 through $180.00In this hands-on class, students will forge their own small Viking-style knife from mild steel. The Viking Knife, often referred to as a blacksmith knife, is a nod to the practical blades once crafted for everyday use. The knife features a one-piece, all metal construction with an integral handle, combining simplicity and durability. Students will learn essential knife-making skills including heat treating, grinding, and sharpening. This class is a solid introduction to the fundamentals of bladesmithing and is great for beginners eager to explore the art of knife making.

Watercolor Still Life with Glass- July 2026

Weaving Log Cabin- May 2026
Price range: $255.00 through $305.00In this class you will design an item of your choosing (scarf, table runner, place mats, etc.) and go through the entire process to create it on a floor loom using the twill structure. Guidance from the instructor will be provided as needed. This class will include instruction on winding a warp with two threads at a time and weaving with two shuttles. Many fiber options and color choices will be available.

In this class you'll learn to weave a herringbone pattern using flat reed. Please bring a chair that is in sound condition with the old seat removed. Weaving with Words- August 2026
Price range: $475.00 through $575.00Inlay is a traditional weaving technique that has existed for centuries in many cultures. Most weavers are familiar with the basic premise of using inlay to create patterns in cloth. The approach provided in this class will expand upon this tradition by using words as the basis for the patterns that are laid-in to the cloth. As a result, the boundaries of the craft can be expanded to allow weavers to incorporate elements from calligraphy, book arts, poetry, printing, folklore, and storytelling. With the goal to inspire weavers to expand their repertoire of decorative approaches, this class will provide step-by-step instruction in the techniques for using inlay to weave letters and words in cloth.

Wine Basket- June 2026
Price range: $200.00 through $220.00This is a great basket to make for a gift or yourself. Woven with a combination of natural reed, seagrass, hardwood handle and leather rim making a great accent. A leather divider is woven in the basket to protect the bottles. Students have a choice of black or brown leather. Instructor will bring all materials to make the basket. Wooden Chair Repair- September 2026
Price range: $125.00 through $150.00If you've got an old chair at your house that could use a little TLC this is the class for you. Students can bring their wooden chairs of almost any type and with some guidance, bring them back to new life. Chairs will be completely disassembled, cleaned of any old glue and reglued. Students should bring a wooden chair without upholstery that is loose or partially loose.

Wooden Cross-Country Skis- November 2026

Woodland Chic Leather Earrings- May 2026
Price range: $185.00 through $210.00Using designs pulled directly from nature, we will be making hand painted leather earrings recreating animal prints native to the North Country. Students will select two different prints, then learn how to stamp patterns, apply dyes to leather, and practice their new skills. Additionally, we will add natural elements with ties to the region, such as pyrite, garnet, and freshwater pearls. To complete the earrings, we'll add sterling silver ear wires. Rainbow Trout and Halloween Pennant Dragonfly pictured; longest earring length is approximately 3".

Woven Hanging Hearts- December 2026

Woven Towels- July 2026
Price range: $160.00 through $185.00This is another class that lets you reuse and save! In this class you will create several cloth towels, the size of a paper towel. They can be snapped together and placed on a roll to be ready when you need one. Wash and dry and replace on the roll. Wrapped-Eye Tomahawk- September 2026
Price range: $320.00 through $360.00Make a classis early American tool used to chop wood, break game, and as a weapon of war. We'll create a tomahawk by wrapping the blade around a drift, and forge welding it together, with a welded carbon steel bit. We'll finish the 'hawk by fitting it to a standard commercial handle. Some blacksmithing experience is needed to successfully complete this project.
